The subscription you already pay for should be working
You buy Claude or Codex by the month and use it in bursts, so most of what you paid for evaporates at the end of the cycle — while somebody else pays full price for the same tokens an hour later. Shaidle exists to close that gap: connect the account, it keeps working on your behalf while you are not on it, and the capacity that was going to expire pays you instead.
Why it works
Every other capacity market in computing figured this out decades ago. Compute, bandwidth, storage and even electricity are all sold in two forms: a committed block for people with steady demand, and a spot market for everyone else. AI coding capacity currently has only the first one. The result is a market where a developer who needs three hours a week pays the same as one who needs forty, and where the difference is not redistributed to anyone — it is simply deleted at the billing boundary.
An exchange fixes that with no new capacity built and no subsidy. The buyer pays under list because the capacity was already bought. The seller recovers part of a bill they were going to pay anyway. Both numbers come out of the same dollar of list price, which is why the model works without anyone funding the discount.
How we build
- Every number carries its reason. A figure on a screen has to agree with the ledger behind it, and where a figure is illustrative it is labelled as illustrative.
- Money never moves on an estimate. Requests are metered from the provider's own response, and settlement follows the measurement.
- Where a control is designed and not yet built, it is marked as such — including on the public pages.
- Scope is decided in writing before it is coded, and reversals are recorded rather than quietly made.

Where we are
Private beta, invite only. Supply at launch is Claude and Codex, and lanes the exchange cannot serve properly are refused on the server rather than advertised and then declined. That is a deliberately narrow start: a marketplace that cannot settle correctly is not a marketplace, and the number of providers is the easiest thing to add later.
